Janet's style combines a thoughtful and creative use of light, strong composition and bold approach to create dynamic images for use in advertising and editorial markets.
"When people ask me how long I've been shooting I tell them all my life. It started with a part-time job as a photojournalist while in school, a serious hobby and then finally, a serious profession. I have interned at a busy commercial studio in Vancouver, assisted other photographers and taken a variety of courses to hone my skills. I've been working as a professional photographer for 8 years now. My style is to evoke as many of your senses and emotions as possible. If it's food I'm shooting, I want you to salivate at the image, to smell it, taste it, feel the texture, want it. If it is a still object, again, I want you to feel like you are right there, like you have some special and unique relationship with the subject that no one else has. For people, I strive to create an image that reflects the uniqueness of each individual. No two people are alike, so no two photos are alike. Every day and every shoot brings a new challenge and I embrace it all. Every day is a gift. I love what I do and I think that my passion shows in my work." Testimonials
